Baldur's Gate Shenanigans!
Nov. 28th, 2023 05:04 pmIt went without saying that the situation with the tadpoles was a veritable shitshow on it's own. Let alone with the complications that came with the cult that seemed to be surrounding them, the True Souls and Absolute. Mikka still wasn't sure about their odds in going against what seemed a well-entrenched and organized organization, but the others seemed confident. And so far they'd managed to make some progress at least which soothed his own worries. So instead he kept his peace and did his best to keep up with what needed to be done.
Especially as they all slowly grew to know each other a bit better. Mikka had somehow managed to dodge sharing for the most part- a thumbnail sketch so to say of his life didn't raise any red flags after all. Not that he lied but compared to the others and their trials and tribulations, he couldn't help but feel his own difficulties were rather petty. He'd rather help his newfound friends in their own difficulties.
Especially when it came to Somber. It took a bit for him to make the connection between the boy he'd known when he was younger, and the half-drow bard that he'd grown into. The little miqo'te was pleased to know that his childhood friend had survived the bleak fate of his family, but felt hesitant to admit to the connection at the same time, not wanting to burden him with expectations or anything like that. Was it sensible? Not especially. But then Mikka wasn't always the most sensible when it came to things like this.
It did mean he was more focused on Somber's well-being for all he didn't realize it. Quick to offer assistance when needed, and entirely at odds with the almost timid personality he normally had, much more quick to come to Somber's defense if someone spoke ill of him.
It amused some of their companions to be sure, especially when he got irritated enough that his tail got especially twitchy and bottlebrush.
